Veteran actor Pran, known for his negative roles in Hindi film industry will receive the prestigious 2012 Dadasaheb Phalke Award for a lifetime contribution to cinema by the Indian Government. Some of his memorable movies like Zanjeer, Don, Ram Aur Shyam, Amar Akbar Anthony, Sharaabi and Purab Aur Paschim are among his famous films. He ruled the negative lead role in Bollywood for almost two decades.
